2021 PREVIEW: China's graphite supply cuts, growth in new end applications create bullish picture

Tightening supply will be the main driver of a bullish price outlook for graphite in 2021, with growing demand from the expandable and electric vehicles (EV) market also supportive, market participants told Fastmarkets.

Market sources said they expect reduced supply and developments in new demand sectors to support the flake graphite market on both fob China and cif Europe basis in 2021.
