Foundry grade chromite breaks above five-month price range, chemical grade follows

Fastmarkets’ assessment price for wet bulk foundry grade chromite moved up after five months of stability amid improving market sentiment in the week to Tuesday January 19, while the chemical grade market also gained against the end of last year.

Market prices for both foundry sand and chemical grade chromite ticked up in as a result of a fast-rising metallurgical chrome ore market and a combination of other factors affecting market dynamics.
