Iluka zircon sales hit by sharp drop in Chinese tile sector

Mineral sand miner Iluka has reported sharply lower sales of zircon in 2020 with demand from China plummeting.

Iluka, the world’s largest zircon producer, sold 185,200 tonnes of zircon concentrate in 2020, down by 42.5% year-on-year, according to a quarterly results statement released on Wednesday January 27.
