Chromite prices tick up in attempt to keep up with met grade rally

Spot market prices for non-metallurgical chromite edged up in the week to Tuesday February 9 after suppliers sought to follow the rally in met grade chrome ore and ferro-chrome.
Both chemical and foundry grade chromite material prices
ticked up on a weekly basis.
Fastmarkets assessed the price of chromite,
chemical, 46% Cr2O3 min, wet bulk, fob South Africa at
$195-210 per tonne on Tuesday, narrowing up from $190-210 per
tonne the previous week.
