Nouveau Monde wins right to build 100,000 tpy graphite mine in Quebec

Canadian junior Nouveau Monde Graphite has won approval to build what it has described as "the western world’s biggest graphite mine" in Québec.

The Québec government has issued an environmental decree for Nouveau Monde to begin construction of the Matawinie mining project 95 miles north of Montreal, the company said on Wednesday February 10.
