Weak demand weighs on China’s magnesia market post-holiday

China’s magnesia market was still recovering after the Lunar New Year holiday, showing soft demand from overseas buyers in the week to Tuesday February 23, putting pressure on previously bullish offer prices.

China’s magnesia export market showed thin buying activity over the week, and some producers started to lower their previous bullish offers under pressure from the weak demand. Buyers, meanwhile, were still in no hurry to buy and opted to hold back and watch for market developments.
