PRICING NOTICE: Proposal to discontinue price assessment for US East Coast antimony trioxide
By IM Staff
Published: Tuesday, 02 March 2021
Fastmarkets proposes to discontinue its assessment of the price for antimony trioxide 99.5% Sb2O3 min, cif US East Coast, and to change the publication day of its other antimony trioxide price assessments.
Initial feedback suggests that there is limited spot
liquidity for antimony trioxide traded on a cif US East Coast
basis, while the majority of industry participants believe that
our in-whs Baltimore price is more representative of market
structure.
The price to be discontinued is:
MB-SB-0008 Antimony trioxide 99.5% Sb2O3 min, cif US East
Coast, $ per tonne.
This price is currently assessed every Tuesday.
The consultation period for this price discontinuation
will begin on Tuesday March 2 and will end on April 2, with
changes taking place, subject to market feedback, from Tuesday
April 6.
At the same time, Fastmarkets proposes to change the
publication day of its antimony trioxide price assessments from
Tuesday to Wednesday, 3-4pm London time.
This proposed change will apply to the following price
assessments:
The change is proposed to allow Fastmarkets to price
both the antimony trioxide grade and antimony metal on the same
day, aligning the coverage and giving the reporter more
comprehensive information to optimize the price review and
publication process.
