Feedback received during the month-long consultation
suggested that liquidity in the titanium dioxide market in
Europe and the United States was mostly based on quarterly
price adjustments by producers.
Therefore, a longer data collection period will enable
Fastmarkets to capture additional liquidity and the assessment
will be better aligned with the timings of the
market.
The specifications for the titanium dioxide
assessments are as follows, with proposed amendments in
italics:
MB-TI-0011 - Titanium dioxide pigment, chloride grade, DDP
North America, $ per tonne
Quality: Chloride grade
Quantity: 20 tonnes minimum
Location: DDP North America
Timing: Spot
Unit: $ per tonne

No other changes are proposed to be made to the
specifications of the two price assessments or to
Fastmarkets’ other titanium dioxide price
assessments.
The price assessment for MB-TI-0009 - Titanium dioxide pigment, sulfite grade, fob
China, $ per tonne, will remain on a weekly
schedule.
The amendment will take place on Thursday March
11.
