RHI Magnesita invests in German capacity

Refractory maker RHI Magnesita will invest €23 million ($27 million) at its Urmitz site in Germany over the next two years. This investment, announced on March 24, underlines RHI’s bullish outlook on refractories in 2021.

The investment will be used to expand and upgrade the plant’s production capacity for non-basic refractories. These include graphite and alumina, among other refractory materials.
