Tirupati Graphite begins operations at second Madagascan mine

United Kingdom-listed Tirupati Graphite has started excavation of overburden material and mined the first ore from its Vatomina graphite mine in Madagascar as part of plans to ramp up capacity, the company said on Wednesday April 21.

Feedstock from Vatomina will be stockpiled over the next four to six weeks for the company's 9,000 tonne-per-year Vatomina processing plant, which is due to be commissioned in the second quarter of this year.
