China’s fluorspar imports jump 177% in March, but exports level off

China’s imports of fluorspar surged year-on-year in March 2021 due to cheaper prices and increasing demand. Exports, meanwhile, leveled off year-on-year in the same month on steady demand from Asian buyers.

Increasing volumes of fluorspar acidspar continued to rush into China in March at competitive prices, while domestic prices stayed high compared with those from other global suppliers.

China imported 30,788 tonnes of fluorspar (CaF2>97%) in March 2021, up by 177.27% from 11,104 tonnes in the corresponding month last year. The...
