Chinese magnesia prices held steady on Tuesday May 18 due to thin buying activity, while market participants are keeping a watchful eye on new Covid-19 infections reported in Bayuquan district in Yingkou city, Liaoning province, which could affect magnesia deliveries through Bayuquan ports.
Fastmarkets assessed the magnesia, fused, 97% MgO, Ca:Si
2:1, lump, fob China price at $550-630 per tonne and the
magnesia, fused, 98% MgO, lump, fob China price at $620-700 per
tonne on Tuesday, both unchanged from a week ago.
