ICCSINO ANODE CONF: New market could emerge for ‘fake flake’ graphite, sources say

Graphite industry participants attending a conference held in the Chinese city of Qingdao in May were looking to create a new market place for “fake flake” graphite by improving trading transparency and the yield rate from spherical graphite.

Debates around the market position of reprocessed flake graphite, the so-called "fake flake," were on the rise among industry participants with the expansion of spherical graphite production in China amid strong growth in demand from the anode material sector, as well as for expandable graphite.
