Chinese caustic calcined magnesia prices were steady on Tuesday June 8 due to ongoing tight supply and high production costs, but buyers remained cautious and expected a decline in the market.
Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for magnesia, calcined,
90-92% MgO, fob China was at $190-210 per tonne on June 8,
unchanged since March 30.
More producers have kept caustic calcined magnesia offers
firm, unwilling to lower prices while production has yet
to fully recover amid relatively steady demand from buyers
