Chinese magnesia exports steady, industry consolidation plans reaffirmed

China’s magnesia export prices were mostly steady and demand showed no improvement on the week to Tuesday June 15, while the local government in Liaoning province reaffirmed its consolidation plan for the magnesite industry and continued to push this forward.

Magnesia export prices in China were steady although rangebound at current levels over the week to June 15, in both the domestic and export markets.

Demand from overseas buyers remained slow with a limited number of deals concluded on the spot market. Freight fees and shipping space were still problems...
