China’s magnesia prices rangebound on low liquidity; global logistics remain slow

China’s magnesia export prices were largely unchanged due to thin buying activity in the market, with high freight rates and slow global logistics continuing to curb overseas demand.

Thin liquidity in the export market left China’s magnesia export prices stable, and most overseas buyers haven’t placed any further orders yet, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for magnesia, calcined, 90-92% MgO, fob China was at $190-210 per tonne on Tuesday June 29, unchanged since March 30.
