Container shortage hampers Syrah Resources' flake graphite exports

A lack of container availability will restrict Syrah Resources’ flake graphite exports in the third quarter of this year to 17,000 tonnes from a planned total of 29,000 tonnes, the company said.

Syrah Resources’ shipping company has changed its schedule, resulting in 12,000 tonnes of natural graphite sales that were planned to be exported in late September now being shipped in October.

Syrah operates the Balama graphite operation in Mozambique and exports from Nacala port.
