Imerys applies energy surcharge on European WFA, announces 2022 price rise

Industrial minerals producer and processor Imerys Group has applied a surcharge on fourth-quarter shipments of fused alumina products from two European facilities following recent increases in local energy costs, the company confirmed to Fastmarkets.

The surcharge was applied with "immediate" effect from the beginning of October, and is applicable to all orders scheduled for the fourth quarter of the year originating from Imerys’ plants in Germany and Austria.
