Guizhou orders power cuts amid China’s potential ‘coal interventions’

Southern Power Grid in Guizhou province ordered electricity curbs on local aluminium producers, effective from Tuesday October 19, market sources said.

The announcement, made on Tuesday, came at a time when the country’s top planner said it was considering "coal interventions," which aim to stabilize the price and supply of the crucial energy feedstock.
