Vesuvius raises refractory material prices amid semiconductor shortage, high raw material costs

Refractory materials manufacturer Vesuvius has increased prices, pointing to the semiconductor shortage and high raw material costs as "major uncertainties" affecting the business.

"Raw material cost increases and the timing of the semiconductor shortage are the two major uncertainties at this stage," Patrick André, chief executive officer of United Kingdom-based Vesuvius, said in a conference call regarding a trading update on Thursday November 11.
