Zhengzhou enforces mass brown fused alumina shutdown from the end of November

Local authorities in Zhengzhou have ramped-up efforts to combat pollution by implementing more shutdowns of refractories production later this year, leading to another round of brown fused alumina (BFA) supply disruptions.

The government of Zhengzhou city in Henan province have enforced large-scale calcined bauxite and BFA production stoppages from November 2021 – March 2022 in a bid to cut pollution in the region, according to official documents.
