Persistent shortage of raw antimony pushes up metal, trioxide prices

Prices for antimony metal and trioxide continued to rise in November on market participants’ reluctance to make deals because of the continuing ore shortage and a lack of container availability and vessel space.

After an initial price rise associated with the shutdowns of antimony plants in the city of Lengshuijiang in China’s Hunan province, after environmental inspections, the country’s domestic antimony price fell in late October in response to the plants’ restarts.
