Non-Chinese magnesia prices fall before end-of-year holidays

Fused and dead burned magnesia prices outside China edged lower in the month to Wednesday December 22, with the market coolomg down after restoration of production in China.

Fastmarkets price assessment for magnesia, dead burned, 95% MgO, fobEurope, was $500-700 per tonne - about 16% lower than the previous month.

Fastmarkets’ price assessment for magnesia, fused, 97% MgO, cifEurope, was at $1000 – 1300 /tonne, 15% lower than November’s assessment.
