Chloride-grade titanium dioxide prices edge upward

Prices for chloride grade titanium dioxide edged upward on a ddp North America basis in the month to Thursday January 13, with freight rates continuing to rise, alongside strong demand and supply tightness.

Fastmarkets’ price assessment for titanium dioxide pigment, chloride grade, ddp North America, climbed to $3,700-4,000 per tonne on January 13, from $3,600-3,800 previously, with activity beginning to ramp-up in what one buyer described as a "post-pandemic" environment.
