European magnesia market pressured by Ukraine war; Chinese market calm

The magnesia market in Europe is suffering logistical disruptions driven by the Russia-Ukraine war, with local producers also plagued by increased energy and transportation costs. China’s magnesia market, meanwhile, remains calm but there is growing concern about production and domestic logistics amid a resurgence in Covid-19 cases.
Fastmarkets’ assessment for magnesia,
dead-burned, 95% MgO, fob Europe was at $550-700 per tonne
on Tuesday March 15, up by 8.70% from $500-650 per tonne one
month earlier.
