Europe’s radiation worries put extra pressure on iodine market

Iodine market participants have received additional inquiries for material in Europe due to the Russia-Ukraine war, which is likely to put further pressure on an already tight iodine market, Fastmarkets understands.

In March, two iodine producers noted an increased number of inquiries from derivative producers and governments in countries bordering Ukraine, such as Poland, they told Fastmarkets.
