A recent report released by Wisconsins Department of Natural Resources (DNR) assessed the possible impacts of silica sand mining in Wisconsin and labelled current regulations adequate.
County and department regulations are, adequate to ensure that permits for individual sand mining operations and processing facilities are protective of public health and the environment, the report stated.
