Nemaska Lithium Inc. this week clarified its decision to build a Phase 1 lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate plant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada.
The plant will have an average combined capacity of 426 tpa at 80% plant availability instead of the maximum 500 tpa mentioned in a release on 7 February, the company said.
Nemaska intends to become a lithium hydroxide/carbonate producer based in Quebec, and has filed patent applications for its proprietary methods to produce lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate.
